Happy New Year! 2024 is here, so it’s time to start planning your next family vacation getaway. Will you return to some of your favourite campgrounds to carry on old traditions? Or will you check your camping bucket list and discover a new destination this year? During the off-season, there are many opportunities to get your camping fill, such as at an RV show. With manufacturers, local dealers, and other camping enthusiasts in one place, there’s so much to learn and discover this year!
5 Benefits of Attending an RV Trade Show
Are you on the fence about RV shows? You aren’t alone. When shopping for a new RV or camping gear, getting lost in industry terms or getting talked into a model that doesn’t suit your family’s needs or camping style is easy. Attending an RV show can help you connect with a dealer and ask more questions before you buy, but there are more benefits to discover!
- Tour new RVs: Don’t be afraid to look at different types of RVs! Rather than be bogged down by names and classes, see the models up close and personal and ask questions. Dealers can help you compare the pros and cons of other models so you find the right match.
- Find discounted prices: Camping gear, clothing, and RVs can be offered for far less than the original price. Rather than risk sticker shock, you can connect with the dealer or the rep to discover manufacturer rebates and financing options for your budget.
- Build relationships: RV shows are a great way to check out multiple local dealers in one place. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and meet the team at your local dealer to start building a relationship before you walk in the doors.
- Learn new camping tips: RV shows not only feature booths, but you can participate in free seminars and test your skills with new gear, technology, and camping hacks.
- Family-friendly: You don’t have to go alone! RV shows are fun for the whole family, from offering activities for children to learning more about features or RV layouts that your entire family loves.
4 Tips for Attending RV Trade Shows
- Do your research early: Whether you are upgrading your current RV or looking to purchase one for the first time, it is better to start researching before you attend. Consider your storage options and what RV size suits your family and camping style. Once you have narrowed down the type of RV, you will be less likely to get overwhelmed at the event.
- Set a budget: Buying an RV is investing in future summer vacations. Think about your storage needs, family size, and how much you can currently finance. Your dealer can work with your budget to create the best financing plan. Ask your dealer about any trade-in promotions, such as the Grove RV Trade-in and Trade-Up program.
- Attend at quieter times: If your schedule allows you to visit the trade show during the week, you can skip the weekend rush and spend more time touring the RV models and meeting with dealers without the extra noise.
- Talk to the rep: Don’t put off asking about models you are interested in! Representatives from a local dealer or manufacturer can share the ins and outs of the RV and help you compare multiple models to find the best fit for you.
